Magnolia Ridge Training Center specializes in the equestrian sport of Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation. We offer experienced instruction in a fun and positive atmosphere. We are a competitive horse show program, but also enjoy coaching non-competitive equine enthusiasts.

Founder, Owner, and Head Trainer of Magnolia Ridge, Kim Stuckens, runs a successful “A” circuit training and showing business which has been in operation for the last 20 years. The commitment to riding excellence shows in the results our team has achieved. Kim has developed many accomplished horsemen and women who have had success not only in the show ring, but have gone on to become veterinarians, Grand Prix competitors, and breeding farm managers. Her devotion and commitment to the students, the horses and the sport is passed on in her teaching and training methods. Kim truly enjoys teaching horseback ridng lessons to people of all ages and backgrounds. Growing up, Kim created many opportunities for herself through hard work and dedication to her horses. Through out her entire adolencence Kim was able to land numerous working student jobs to improve her competitive riding and horsemanship skills. Childress Rogers (Columbus, OH) and Roger Wilham (Cincinnati, OH) were both influential instructors early on in Kim’s career. Later on she had the honor of working with a variety of accomplished professionals such as Alana Featherstone (Canada) and the late Victor Hugo-Vidal (San Fransisco, CA).

Assistant Trainer Jacque has been riding and showing in the Northwest since the age of 3. From her first leadline class at the Evergreen Classic when it was held at Marymoore Park in 1994, to competing in the 2013 IHSA Cacchione Cup National Finals in Harrisburg, PA, Jacque has had many valuable experiences to bring home to her students. The USHJA Emerging Athlete’s Program, the ASPCA Maclay National Finals, countless Regional Medal/Equitation Finals, and the East Coast National Pony Hunter and Equitation Finals are all prestigious events that Jacque has first-hand knowledge of. Her natural ability and hunger for competition are what allow Jacque continued success throughout her riding career. With an emphasis on Equitation, Jacque has been able to emulate and create successful horses and riders in all arenas.

Special Interests

Through her experiences Kim finds that strong basics are what breed success, and her program is shaped around that idea. Since moving to the Seattle area she has continued to instill these values in her students.
